Channel NewsAsia refused to credit news source?
Editor and netizens criticized Channel NewsAsia, a news channel by MediaCorp Singapore for not crediting the source of the breaking story about Jack Neo's affairs.
Singapore Press Holdings WanBao Chinese newspaper editor-in-Chief Mr Chua Ching Kang complained in his blog that Channel NewsAsia pilfered its exclusive story and did not give his paper its due credit for breaking the story. He said in his blog that unlike ZaoBao and Straits Times which also carried the story gave credit to WanBao for the source of the story.
Some readers agreed with Mr Chua that media such as Channel NewsAsia should give credit where credit is due and sourced the story to WanBao instead of saying "a local Chinese daily". Channel NewsAsia should be gentleman enough to give credit to its competitor for breaking the story and doing better than its own publication.
Questions were raised whether the management of Channel NewsAsia or MediaCorp prevented its reporters from mentioning the name of competitor publication and only allowed its own newspaper TODAY name to be mentioned. A quick scan of Channel NewsAsia website seems to indicate that it only credit TODAY but no other competitor newspapers.

Everyone know who broke the story so why water it down and hide it...
I heard that CNA now has a "Orang Putih", a White person, managing their programming...
so where is the Asian perspective???
I think they should stop using the tag-line Asian Perspective.
Shame, Shame..
